A Family Photography for a long time client when they all need headshots.

Last December I photographed my long time client Rachel and her kids in the East Bay Hills. They all needed professional headshots and portraits. Professional Headshots they got.

My client wanted a clean and modern family photo session with with one huge request: she wanted the bottom of her shoes (red color) to be visible. This is what she wrote on Yelp about our photo session: Straight to the point, I was looking for a child photographer for my daughter and I. It was a special occasion and I had a vision in mind. Within 10 minutes of our photo shoot Fima achieved my vision. After that he was more than willing to keep going and try new and fun locations for my daughter. She is very sassy and he got great images of her personality coming through. I will definitely hire him again.

When everyone has fun during family photo session, we get great photographs. This was no exception. My client wanted to have the country feel for the photos. Having a tractor as a prop helped!

This is the second time I was photographing Amy and her family. The weather was not ideal, but it did not matter. The photo session was in China Beach in San Francisco. We got great photos from this child photo session. On top of this, Amy’s daughter is a climber, just like her parents. What fun!

When you photograph a family with 4 year old child, you never know what to expect. A child could be an angel or in a split second can decide that photo session is not what they want at the moment! :) Photographing Shelley and Ellen was no exception. Yet in the middle what seemed like chaos, we got beautiful family photos!

Modern Family Photo Session in San Francisco

I have been photographing Kristina and Mike what seems like forever: the engagement, the wedding, first and second maternity, first and second newborn, etc. So I know what they like: they want to capture the love they have for each other and  they like their photos to be timeless without looking staged. Mission accomplished!  This is what Kristina wrote to me after seeing their family photos for the first time: "Thanks soooo soooo much Fimachka!!   Those are just remarkable!!! I love photographing several families at the same time. Just like the photos below, where I photographed 2 families with 2 kids each and their parents/grandparents. Within total chaos when you have 4 very young children, we created beautiful photos.

I cannot thank enough Daphne and her daughter for being an amazing  models during their photo session in Golden Gate Park and then at the beach. The best compliment I could ever receive is when Daphne told me that her daughter said about photo session: "She loved it and you! She asked about you the other day. "I want to see Fima again". Everyone had fun during the photo session!

I was very excited when  Michelle and Pat contacted me to photograph their one year old daughter. They wanted to create similar images I created 2 years ago with their other daughter. Having pets in photo session with 1 year old and 3 year old? Bring it on! We love challenges! Also the cake: I offer cake photo session for one year old clients. The clean-up is on the house. Sometimes one year old clients do not take kindly to the cake. The joy of being child photographer! :)

A Fashion Portrait with a Tux!

I was very excited when Stacy called me. She mentioned that her son has a Tux from being a ring bearer last month and asked me if it’s OK to photograph him in upcoming family photo session wearing it? Are you kidding me? I love making creative and unusual photographs! Bring champagne and let’s get it started! And now we have proof that her son was ladies’s man even before puberty!

To make this work we needed a location where wearing a tux would be OK. Palace Hotel in San Francisco is such a place.  My motto is: “It is always better to ask forgiveness than permission!”

Lucky for us, hotel security intervened  just as we wrapped our “fashion photo session”!

A family photography

When I met Marina for consultation, she expressed interest in creating classical studio family portraits. At the same time, she really liked my outdoor photography. Well, in that case, let's do both. We can start in the studio and then move to the beach, which is only 5 minute car drive from the studio.  We accomplished both goals! :)
