I love photographing several families at the same time. Just like the photos below, where I photographed 2 families with 2 kids each and their parents/grandparents. Within total chaos when you have 4 very young children, we created beautiful photos.

I love photographing families with more then one child. Another successful family photo-session!
I have been photographing Kristina and Mike what seems like forever: their engagement, their wedding, a model for a day photo session, their newborn daughter photo session, their daughter's one year portrait session and now their daughter's 2 year anniversary. Love it when my clients trust me with their milestones!
What can I say? I love photographing newborns. The follow directions well! :) And there is no need to tell parents to look happy at the photo session. Their joy is contagious!
I was very excited when Michelle and Pat contacted me to photograph their one year old daughter. They wanted to create similar images I created 2 years ago with their other daughter. Having pets in photo session with 1 year old and 3 year old? Bring it on! We love challenges! Also the cake: I offer cake photo session for one year old clients. The clean-up is on the house. Sometimes one year old clients do not take kindly to the cake. The joy of being child photographer! :)
I was very excited when Stacy called me. She mentioned that her son has a Tux from being a ring bearer last month and asked me if it’s OK to photograph him in upcoming family photo session wearing it? Are you kidding me? I love making creative and unusual photographs! Bring champagne and let’s get it started! And now we have proof that her son was ladies’s man even before puberty!
To make this work we needed a location where wearing a tux would be OK. Palace Hotel in San Francisco is such a place. My motto is: “It is always better to ask forgiveness than permission!”
Lucky for us, hotel security intervened just as we wrapped our “fashion photo session”!
When I met Marina for consultation, she expressed interest in creating classical studio family portraits. At the same time, she really liked my outdoor photography. Well, in that case, let's do both. We can start in the studio and then move to the beach, which is only 5 minute car drive from the studio. We accomplished both goals! :)
It was my privilege to photograph Lyna and her family in their Nob Hill home in San Francisco. The views from their roof were spectacular. And so were the family photos. We planned to do a family photo session in their home and then move to Crissy Fields. Unfortunately, the wind was not cooperating. As with all my photography, I guarantee the results, regardless of circumstances. Including weather. So we rescheduled the session for next day. Next day, while driving to the photo session at Palace of Fine Arts, Lyna called me and told me that her 4 year old fell asleep in the car. In my experience as a child photographer, waking kids up is never a good idea. My guarantee still in place we rescheduled again. Everyone was in great spirits the following day and we got what was our goal.
What can I say. I love photographing kids. They always give you what's on their mind. If they do not like the way photo session is going, they WILL let you know. Twins will give you double of that. On top of this add a newborn addition to the family. But I love challenges. Sometimes we add a additional level of challenges by getting family pets in the photos. Lucky for me, there were only twins and newborn with their parents to work with. No problem! :)
My client Marica hired me to photograph her whole family. In our San Francisco portrait studio, I had the opportunity to take family portraits of her family, her brother’s family, and her parents. She told me it was the first time in her life that she had a formal photograph taken with her father. The family photos included pictures of the grandparents with their granddaughters, the two cousins playing together, and photos of the entire family together. It was a great opportunity to take these very special photographs for my client.
Recently, I was able to take a series of black and white portraits of my client Michelle’s youngest son. We wanted to show his silly and unique personality in the portraits, and I think we succeeded in capturing the charisma of this young boy- a new model superstar is born! Michelle brought in her two older sons as well, and I photographed all three of them together for a family portrait with lots of love between the siblings.
We ventured outside our San Francisco portrait studio for a photo session in the gorgeous Park Presidio of San Francisco. Amid the nature, we photographed client Gisele and her family. Gisele is the owner of newly opened Spark Creativity, on Church Street in Noe Valley. The family portraits included Gisele, her husband, and her kids, and feature whole family photos as well as sibling photos. This was one of my favorite family photo sessions in a while- the entire family looks so happy! The best compliment I can ever have from a child photo session is when children ask their parent if they can do it again next week! When Gisele ask her kids why, their reply was that they had too much fun at this photo session. Even father mentioned that it was very painless experience. He had a lot of reservations about it beforehand.
